Step 1. In your adventure, you will always need a plan.

Step 2. Go out with your family to the Fortuna restaurant for dinner.

Step 3. You will need money to take. Wear speacial clothes such as: a dress, skirt( for women). For men they should wear a suit or any clean clothes.

My most important leader...

Being a New Zealander, my most important leader has to be our prime minister, Helen Clark. This essay will be about: Helen Clark, what she's done for us and why she's my important leader in the world.

Helen Clark was born on the 26th February1950. She grew up as the eldest of four daughters of a Waikato farming family. Clark studied at Te Pahu Primary School, at Epsom Girls Grammar School in Auckland and at University of Auckland. She married socialologist Peter Davis, her partner of five years at that time.

Helen Elizabeth Clark is the 37th and current Prime Minister in New Zealand. She is New Zealand's second female Prime Minister and has been in office since December 1999. She is also the leader of the Labour Party.

I have chose Helen Clark as one of the most important leaders around the world because without her we wouldn't have someone to look after our country and stand up for us through every challenge we go through.

My learning goals

Reading...

In reading my biggest goal that I will like to achieve is moving up a level. The reading level that I am at is 14.5, but I want to get to 16yrs by the end of this year. To achieve that I need to have perseverance by striving for accuracy.(independent reading)

In shared reading, I need to share my ideas. By doing that, I will need to take risks at all times.

Maths...

In maths I will like to be in stage 8 for knowledge. In maths you need to be in stage 8 for your knowledge and strategy. By achieving my goal, I would always try my best in every session.

P.E...

For P.E, I need to participate in every sport session. By achieving my goal I need to take risks and to not be shy.

Inquiry...

Having good and creative skills, is what you need for inquiry so I made a goal to stay focused during inquiry. By achieving my inquiry goal, I need to stay on task and to not be disturbed by my classmates.

Spelling...

For spelling I just need to look for words that I don't know how to spell rather then looking for words that I do know how to spell. I can achieve this by taking my learning seriously.

Newsboard...

In newsboard I need to take risks at sharing my point of view clearly. By achieving that goal, I would try to do my best.

Writing...

In writing I need to listen to instructions that are given. By achieving that, and to stay focused on what we're doing.

I will like to achieve these goals at the end of term 4( which is the end of the year ). ahhhhh.

"In the Jack in the beanstalk, who is the villian/hero?"

Jack is neutral.
Jack is both the villian
and hero.

I think Jack is the hero because he took the beans from the man that soled it to him.
He also is a hero because if it wasn't for him,
they they wouldn't have a golden harp and a hen,
so they could live happily ever after.

But he stole?!
But if he asked the Giant, the Giant would have eaten him because he eats human beings.

On the other hand, Jack is the villian too.
He
stole
from the Giant.
He's a THIEF!!!

Jack also didn't obey his mother,
who told him to sell the cow for money not for magic beans.

What are the three most important traits that i will need next year in college?

This essay will contain the three most important traits that I will need next year in college.
The three traits are: persistency, organisation and risk-taking.

Being persistent means to never give up and to try my best.
Next year in college, I will need this characteristic so that if I don't know how to do something,
I will always give it a try.

Next year in college, is a big change for me.
But being organised will make it much easier.
If you're not organised, why come to school without your learning tools, when you can't learn without them?

Last of all the characteristics I chose, is also one of my goals.
Risk take is one of the most important traits for next year.
I need to take risks because if I don't take risks now, I'll be too scared to share my ideas.

Persistency, organisation and risk-taking are the three most important characteristics.
Making sure I'm trying my best, I need to be persevere.
Being prepared, is making sure I have all my learning tools, so i can be ready to learn.
Being able to share my ideas is what risk taking is all about. Risk taking in college can be quite challenging.

For this is my last year in Viscount, I would like to make the most of it.

Hi my name is June Taupau and i am 13 years of age.
I go to Viscount School.
In my family I have a mum, a dad, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
At school, my favourite subjects are: maths, reading, P.E. , inquiry and writing essays.
My teacher is Shontaal Wright.
My best friend at school is Elisa Halaufia.
She rocks.
I've been in her class for 4 years.
My favourite sports are: netball, rugby and cricket.
I also love doing long jump and high jump.
Term 3 was a great term because I learnt how to write essays, measurements and angles.
My weakness is taking risks.
My strength is maths.
Last year in school I learnt a new language, SPANISH!
I loved and enjoyed it...
for that, I got a phrase book/ dictionary from my teacher.
Good luck and have a great day.

Poems

Limerick Poems
There was this young boy with a flute,
he liked to chew gum and eat fruit.
He went to the shops,
to buy some lambchops.
He looked handsome and cute in his suit.
There was an old man from Rome,
Who sat all alone at home.
When someone came by,
He started asking him why?
And that was the man from Rome.
Couplets...
Having fun is
number one.
When I see pooh
I start to spew.
When my mum chew's gum
I always ask for some.
Next year in college
I would like to learn more knowledge.
People that are bright
have a really good sight.
What's the message?
The message in this poem is to make people entertained in writing limerick and couplet poems.
